In
October of 2003, First Agape paid $4,000.00 toward the construction of
gas lines to the church, and the purchase of a new gas powered heating
system. But in February of 2004 the church burned due to a leak in the
oil heating system. There has been no progress in constructing the gas
line other than marking it off with blue crayons.
In January of 2004 The First Agape Church Family beautifully
refurbished the church interior and belfry, as well as replaced the roof
and painted the outside of the building.
First
Agape is working with The Planning Commission and the State Highway
Commission as well as the county council to gain access to the land
between the beltway and the church. This work started with testimony
before the Planning Board February, 2003, testimony before the County
Commissioners February 2004 and continues with letters of request for
permits until this day.
